José Muñoz is a lawyer specialized in Tax Law. He currently works at the Murcia office as a senior associate. His work mainly involves ongoing and transactional advice to family-owned businesses and multinational groups with a presence in Spain. In addition, he has participated in numerous M&amp;A transactions. He holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad de Murcia and has completed a Master's Degree in Legal Practice with a specialization in Tax Law at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

José Muñoz joined the firm in 2018 and is a senior associate in the Tax Law Department.

He has experience providing ongoing tax advice to family-owned companies and multinational groups across various sectors (including real estate, agri-food, automotive, transportation, and chemical industries, among others). In his professional practice, he regularly advises on tax matters in areas such as:

- Personal taxation, including Personal Income Tax, Wealth Tax, Inheritance and Gift Tax, the Temporary Solidarity Tax on Large Fortunes, and the informative declaration of assets and rights located abroad.
- Corporate taxation, covering Corporate Income Tax for companies and corporate groups.
- Indirect taxation, advising all types of companies and business operations (such as international trade transactions, real estate operations, or special VAT regimes).

Additionally, he has participated in numerous corporate group reorganization processes, analyzing them from a financial and tax perspective. He has also been involved in company acquisition processes, advising on the tax implications of the investment structures used and conducting tax due diligence reviews to assess and evaluate companies’ compliance with tax regulations.
