Javier del Corte López is a senior associate in the Litigation and Arbitration practice area.
His professional experience focuses on the area of private law and his legal practice on the field of litigation before both the courts and arbitral tribunals, covering civil matters (obligations and contracts, noncontractual liability), corporate/commercial matters (companies, competition, industrial property) and international disputes.
He has extensive experience in advising companies from the shipping, transport and logistics industries, as well as their insurers, on shipping accidents and claims.
Between 2003 and 2010, he was a part-time lecturer at the Law Faculty of Universidad del País Vasco on the Public International Law and EU Institutions course and, between 2001 and 2007, he lectured on the Master’s Degree in Shipping and Port Businesses at Escuela de Administración Marítima of the Basque Government and Universidad de Deusto.
Javier del Corte López is a member of the Vizcaya Bar Association (ICASV) and the Spanish Shipping Law Association.
