Guillermo Royo joined the firm in 2023 and is currently a senior associate in the Tax practice area. He has extensive experience advising multinational groups with a presence in Spain and domestic companies, particularly family businesses, in the context of their business activities. He provides recurring tax advice in M&amp;A transactions, corporate restructuring operations and transactions involving the transfer and acquisition of real estate.

He has a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad de Zaragoza.

Guillermo Royo is a senior associate in the Tax department of Garrigues, which he joined in 2023 after having spent the first years of his professional career at top-tier firms.

He has extensive experience providing tax advisory services to multinational companies and domestic family businesses, in the context of their business activities. He also provides recurring advice in M&amp;A transactions, acquisitions and disposals of real estate by both domestic and international groups, real estate financing processes, corporate restructurings of groups and entities, particularly family businesses, and in family succession planning for individuals and family businesses.

He also provides advice in tax management and inspection proceedings before the tax authorities and in the preparation of appeals before administrative bodies and courts at all levels.

He is fluent in Spanish and English.
