GGorka Esnal is a principal associate in the Corporate and Commercial Law Department at Garrigues (San Sebastián). After graduating in law from Universidad de Deusto (2006) and developing his professional career for 5 years at another of Spain's leading law firm, he joined Garrigues in 2011. He specializes in M&amp;A, corporate and commercial law and, in particular, in corporate acquisitions, mergers and restructurings, joint ventures and strategic alliances and general commercial contracts, both nationally and internationally, covering all types of sectors (including technology companies and startups). He is secretary of the board of directors of several companies. He regularly advises family businesses (especially in the field of succession planning and the drafting and implementation of family protocols), research centers and non-profit organizations (foundations and associations).

Throughout his professional career, he has advised national and international clients of different types in M&amp;A transactions in various sectors.

Gorka has collaborated with different technology centers and has participated in transactions with technology-based companies and start-ups from their initial phase to their consolidation.

He also has extensive experience in corporate law having participated in numerous corporate reorganizations. He is secretary of the board of numerous companies. He has participated in numerous corporate conflicts with a practical vision focused on their resolution.

Gorka also provides recurring advice to various non-profit organizations on corporate governance issues.
