Garazi Barandika is a senior associate in Garrigues’ corporate/commercial law practice area, having joined the firm in 2011.
She specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law and commercial contracts, and in the area of welfare provision. She has extensive experience advising both national and international clients on M&A transactions of all kinds, as well as on commercial contracting matters and corporate issues of particular complexity, in some cases performing the duties of secretary of their corporate bodies. She also advises the main voluntary provident entities (EPSV) operating in the Basque Country on regulatory matters.
She holds a degree in Law, specializing in economics, from Universidad de Deusto (Bilbao) and an Executive master’s degree in business law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues in collaboration with Harvard Law School.
She is a member of the Bizkaia Bar Association.

Garazi Barandika is a senior associate in Garrigues’ Corporate/Commercial Law practice area (Bilbao office), having joined the firm in 2011. She specializes in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate law and commercial contracts, and in welfare provision.
Her professional activity is focused primarily on:
- National and international commercial contracting.
- Advising on corporate law and taking on secretarial duties in relation to boards of directors, in some cases acting as nondirector secretary and nondirector deputy secretary.
- Advising on M&A transactions, business reorganizations, due diligence processes, joint ventures, etc.
- Providing advice on an ongoing basis to the main EPSVs operating in the Basque Country, in some cases assuming the office of deputy secretary of their governing boards. She has been involved in some of the most important transactions taking place in the welfare provision market in her geographical area.
She speaks Spanish, Basque and English.
