Carlos Peiró is partner of the Tax Law Department and in charge of Financial Restructurings at the Valencia office of Garrigues, where he has pursued most of his professional career after a stint at Arthur Andersen. He specializes in Tax Law, Restructurings, Private Equity and Corporate Law (transactions).
He is the partner in charge of major business groups in the Valencia Autonomous Community to whom he provides legal advice and in many cases acts as nondirector secretary of the board.
His areas of specialization, in the tax field, include important clients across various sectors for which he provides advisory services on corporate transactions, M&A, consolidation, etc.
Carlos has advised, and continues to advise, different private equity entities in the Valencia Autonomous Community since their conception and in relation to countless investment and divestment transactions.
Within the Financial Restructurings area, over the last 6 years, he has participated in the most relevant business refinancing processes in the Valencia Autonomous Community, being a lawyer of choice in these processes amongst both companies and financial institutions.
His technical expertise, vocation to serve the client and extensive experience in negotiating sales and purchases of companies and refinancing have made him the lawyer of choice in this area and enabled him to gain the trust of the clients with whom he has maintained a relationship for many years.
He has collaborated with business and educational organizations on tax matters, financial restructurings and corporate transactions. He is also a regular speaker at seminars and conferences organized by the Firm and by various specialized centers.
