Abel Gallego Meliá is a principal associate in the Labor and Employment Law practice of Garrigues, where he has pursued his entire professional career.

He provides ongoing advice on labor and employment, social security and occupational risk prevention matters to national and multinational enterprises, and handles litigation before the labor and social security courts.

He holds a Law Degree from Universidad Jaume I de Castellón and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Universidad Jaume I de Castellón.

He is a lecturer in the Master’s Degree in International Business Law at CEU San Pablo.

Abel Gallego is a principal associate in Garrigues’ Labor and Employment Law Department. He joined the firm in 2012. He has extensive experience in such areas as:

- Collective layoff procedures.
- Contract suspension and working hours reduction procedures.
- Procedures for material modifications to working conditions.
- International assignments of workers.
- Advice on matters relating to special senior management relationships.
- Negotiation of company collective labor agreements.
- Business restructurings. Coordination and preparation of due diligence processes and reports.
- Advice on occupational risk prevention matters.
- Advice on social security matters.
- Advice on and preparation of human resources policies.

In addition, Abel Gallego regularly handles litigation before the labor and social security courts, acting in defense of his clients’ interests in all kinds of proceedings, both collective and individual in nature.
