# 'World Trademark Review' names Garrigues Portuguese IP Firm of the Year

**Garrigues took the award for Portuguese IP Firm of the Year for the second year running at the annual Global IP Awards organized by the international publications *World Trademark Review* (WTR) and *Intellectual Asset Management* (IAM). The firm collected the award last night at the award ceremony in London.**
The aim of the awards is to recognize the work carried out by IP departments in all different aspects of the practice. To do so, the team of journalists and analysts from both publications, based in the US, Europe and Asia, took client opinions into account.
“To receive such a prestigious award for the second year running is a source of great satisfaction for us and motivates us to continue to listen to the needs and expectations of our clients in order to be able to deliver, with our effort, dedication and creativity, the most suitable and efficient solutions to their problems,” explained João Miranda de Sousa, the partner in charge of Garrigues Portugal.
