**Forthcoming conference on ‘Reforms for recovery. Productivity, business growth and business climate’ organised by the Economic and Social Council**
It will be held on 15 December with the participation of Adrián Thery in the session entitled "Dialogues on insolvency law: improving restructuring processes and fresh start". This session will be moderated by the Spanish Minister for Justice Ms. Pilar Llop.
**Aranzadi Insolvency and Corporate Forum in Alicante**
On November 18, Juan Verdugo told a few of the firm’s restructuring success stories and talk about the challenges posed by the pre-insolvency right under the Preliminary Bill reforming the Recast Insolvency Law. He took part alongside Jose Luis Fortea and Leandro Blanco, specialist senior judges sitting at commercial courts nos 3 and 1 in Alicante.
**NPL Management Europe 2021 Congress**
On November 3 and 4 Juan Verdugo participated in this European congress on NPL Management, hosted in Madrid. Juan Verdugo coordinated a panel on crossborder restructurings; challenges and risks, which discussed best practices in restructuring processes.
**Corporate and Insolvency Law Cátedra Garrigues International Congress**
On September 28-30, the [Corporate and Insolvency Law Cátedra Garrigues International Congress](https://eventos.comillas.edu/68376/detail/webinar-congreso-internacional-derecho-corportivo-y-derecho-de-insolvencias.html) was held, where Adrián Thery participated as moderator in a session on the right of separation of creditor and shareholder, while Borja García-Alamán moderated a debate on exclusive corporate and insolvency regulation for members of the equity structure. **3rd Spanish Congress on ‘Real Estate Servicing’**
On October 18, 19 and 20 this congress brought together in Madrid the main players in the NPL and servicing industries. Juan Verdugo moderated the panel on legal specialization, focusing on the new regulatory horizon for NPL servicers and NPL purchasers.
**Webinar ‘Mitigating the valuation risks arising from the new EU Restructuring Directive’ organized by the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC)**
Adrián Thery participated in this [webinar](https://www.ivsc.org/news/article/mitigating-valuation-risks-arising-from-the-new-eu-restructuring-directive), which took place on June 9 and where professionals from all over Europe analyzed the methods for mitigating the valuation risks arising from the new Restructuring and Insolvency Directive.
**‘Insolvency in the aeronautical industry; international security interests and Brexit’**

It is analyzed how the Spanish courts are applying the Capetown Convention to provide a response to the insolvency of the grantor of an international interest in an item of aeronautical equipment, and studies the validity of those proceedings abroad.
