***(27/05/05)*** .jpg)Garrigues has won the European awards for the ‘Best Tax Firm and ‘Best Tax Firm for Transfer Pricing’ in Spain. The awards were made by the publication International Tax Review, in the first year of the ‘European Tax Awards.’ The aim of the Awards is to reward the excellence of European firms in the field of taxation in the past year. Garrigues is, moreover, the only firm that won the awards in the two categories that could be competed for in each country.
“The most important thing about these awards is, precisely, the recognition of the work and effort of the team as a whole,” according to Ricardo Gómez, the partner in charge of the Garrigues Tax Practice. The Tax Department comprises more than 500 professionals, including 70 partners. Garrigues is also a member of Taxand, the first global alliance specializing exclusively in tax practice, which was set up in March this year together with firms from Europe, the United States and India.
The ‘European Tax Awards’ ceremony took place on Wednesday night in a gala event at Claridge’s Hotel, London. Miguel Gordillo, Managing Partner, and Ricardo Gómez, Partner in Charge of the Tax Practice, attended on behalf of Garrigues.
‘International Tax Review’ belongs to the ‘Legal Media Group’ publishing group, which has more than 15 years’ experience in reporting on legal issues in international business, making it the indisputable industry leader. Other publications belonging to the group include: International Financial Law Review (IFLR), Managing Intellectual Property, and the prestigious IFLR Directory and Euromoney Expert Guides.
