**With a total of 161 deals amounting to 15,285 million euros, the firm leads the TTR ranking in terms of number of deals in both Spain and Portugal.**





Garrigues leads the ranking of legal advisors by number of mergers and acquisitions (M&amp;A) in 2020 in Spain and Portugal, with a total of 161 transactions amounting to 15,285 million euros. The firm closed a total of 134 deals in Spain amounting to 14,415 million euros (16.5% of the Spanish total), according to the annual report published by business intelligence platform **TTR**. There were 27 deals in Portugal, amounting to 870 million euros.

2020 was a complicated year, in which the number of transactions dropped considerably. Garrigues’ diverse client base – the firm works with major multinationals and 83% of the Ibex 35, as well as with small and medium-sized companies from all over Spain – has nevertheless enabled the firm to maintain its position of leadership.
