# Garrigues takes European award for Best Provision of Know-How at the Managing Partners Forum Awards 2016

MPF experts admired the innovation potential offered by the Collaborate system for sharing the progress achieved throughout the firm’s network.
Law firm Garrigues took the award for Best Provision of Know-How at the Managing Partners Forum (MPF) Awards 2016, which recognize the innovative capacity of European firms when it comes to sharing their experiences and improving the quality of the services provided to clients.
The MPF, a professional organization based in London and made up of senior executives from the most prestigious law and consultancy firms, assists professional firms to grow and develop innovative services by applying new management models that increase their reliability and prepare them to face the challenges of an uncertain future.
The panel of experts valued Garrigues’ application of a new knowledge management system, Collaborate, which enables all of the firm’s professionals to share the progress made in each practice area and collectively enhance the solutions offered to clients. The new digital platform, rolled out internally a year ago, facilitates the creation of small, specialized groups where professionals can share their expertise and help each other to improve.
This new system has enabled Garrigues to instantly share the knowledge accumulated by its professionals and managed by its six documentation centers across its 34-strong office network in 13 countries, ensuring that the quality and reliability of the services offered by each office is of the same standard. With Collaborate, the firm has also set up a Virtual Classroom to offer training sessions anywhere in the world, together with a technology monitoring system that ensures the firm stays abreast of major advances in management.
The Director of Garrigues’ Knowledge Management Department, Isabel Casas, collected the award at the MPF Awards 2016 ceremony in London and expressed her satisfaction at this broad recognition of the work of an entire team committed to enabling the whole organization to move forward, sharing the value that each of its members is capable of generating.
This is the second time in just a few months that the Department has garnered international recognition. In late 2015, Garrigues was named one of the Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) in the study published each year by British company Teleos in collaboration with The Know Network.
