Ferran Escayola, the partner in charge of Garrigues’ New York office, is the only Spanish lawyer and the sole representative of a Spanish firm to be selected for the exclusive ’40 UNDER 40’ list drawn up by M&A Advisor.
This accolade recognizes the excellence and talent of the new generations of lawyers practicing in the US market. Specifically, it rewards the outstanding work of the top forty professionals under forty years of age who have participated in local and international M&A, finance and restructuring deals. The majority of the professionals selected belong to US law firms and international companies, meaning that there is scarce European representation.
The academic and professional career of Ferran Escayola has always been closely linked to the US. Since joining the Firm, he worked in the Barcelona office, from where he co-managed Garrigues’ US Desk. In December 2010, he was named partner in charge of the New York office. Ferran Escayola is a partner in the Corporate/Commercial Law Department and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and acquisition finance.
M&A Advisor is a US organization which aims to facilitate and promote the work of professionals specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Founded in 1998, it currently boasts a network of more than 35,000 professionals worldwide.
