In 2017, Garrigues again achieved a prominent position in Actualidad Económica’s ranking of the Best Companies to Work For, in which it is the only law firm to appear. On this occasion, the firm held eighth position in the overall ranking – an improvement on its 2016 position – and was fifth in the Training section.
The ranking of *the Best Companies to Work For* published by *Actualidad Económica* each summer bases its scores on a comprehensive and meticulous questionnaire supervised by independent consultants and experts in human resources. Special emphasis is placed on talent management (professional career development, performance and unwanted rotation, amongst other factors), remuneration and compensation (combination of fixed and variable salary, remuneration in kind and fringe benefits), environment (working hours, telework, work-life balance and working conditions), CSR (corporate policies and volunteer work involving staff) and training (investment in master’s degrees, overseas courses, etc.).
