**Garrigues is the only law firm to be featured in the ranking published by Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa (Merco), featuring the top 100 companies with the best corporate reputation. Garrigues has moved up the list yet again: the firm is ranked 54th, three positions higher than last year.**





The top five companies are Inditex, Mercadona, Santander, BBVA and Repsol. Merco uses feedback from senior executives, experts with an impact on the business community (financial analysts, journalists, etc.) and other groups of interest to businesses (university students, alumni, employees, HR managers, etc.) in drawing up the ranking, as well as a benchmark based on 200 management indicators. In total, 38,091 surveys were carried out, involving 22 stakeholders. Merco is the world’s first audited monitor body, since the monitoring and checks carried out in the assessment process and the process of drawing up the ranking are subject to an independent review based on the ISAE 3000 standard by KPMG, which issues an opinion on each year’s report. All weighting criteria used are published.
