He will replace Pedro Regojo, who has headed that area since 2015. Along with this appointment, Jesús Andújar has been named as head of the Firm’s office in A Coruña. Garrigues is the leading business advisory firm in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, where it has a total of 10 partners and 51 professionals in its two offices in A Coruña and Vigo. “I am convinced that the strong team of partners led by Nicolás Santos will continue with Garrigues’ successful track record in Galicia. I am thankful to Pedro for the work performed all these years and I wish him great success”, said Fernando Vives, executive chairman of Garrigues. Nicolás Santos Padín has pursued his career at Garrigues where he was named partner in 2017. He specializes in tax law and in advisory to companies and high net worth families, as well as in the taxation of cooperative entities. He has a degree in Law from the Universidad de Vigo, has conducted numerous courses and seminars on tax theory and practice, and has participated as a speaker and professor on different Master’s and post-graduate programs, and at conferences organized by public and private institutions (the Afundación Business School and the Universidad de Vigo, among others). He is currently a part-time professor at the Galicia Business School.​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​Jesús Andújar Larios has also pursued his professional career at Garrigues, following a stint at Arthur Andersen where he joined after graduating with a degree in Law, Economics and Business Studies from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). He has a Master’s in tax law and is qualified as an Expert in Company and Asset Valuation. He specializes in tax law, particularly in the areas of business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and advisory to companies and high net worth families. He is a professor of the Master’s in Taxation at the Economists Association of A Coruña as well as at Escuela de Finanzas, having directed the Executive Master’s in Tax Advisory at Centro de Estudios Garrigues and Instituto de Formación de Novacaixagalicia, and he has collaborated with different educational and business organizations. He was listed as a recommended lawyer by the Chambers publication, in the Wealth Management section, and in the ranking of Best Lawyers in different editions.
