# Garrigues Mexico obtains the 'Socially Responsible Enterprise' distinction for the fourth consecutive year

**The Garrigues Mexico office has been recognized for another year running (the fourth in a row) as a Socially Responsible Enterprise (ESR® 2018), a distinction awarded by [Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (Cemefi](https://www.cemefi.org/esr/)) and Alianza por la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (AliaRSE) to companies that have duly met the established corporate social responsibility standards.**
The award ceremony will take place as part of the Third International Forum for socially responsible small and medium-sized companies to be held in Chihuahua from October 7 to October 9, 2019.
The ESR® Distinction is awarded following an analysis based on a series of indicators which are reviewed and validated annually by a committee of experts in different areas of CSR, supported by documentary evidence. The process differentiates between companies based on size and the stage of maturity reached, and there is external verification of the findings. According to the organization, the process “is an exercise in trust, honesty and transparency”. This highly prestigious award in the Mexican business community is given each year to a select group of companies in recognition of their efforts to “commit themselves voluntarily and publicly to the implementation of policies aimed at socially responsible management and continued improvement as part of their business culture and strategy”.
