***(10/14/2005)*** Garrigues is recognized, one more year as the leading Spanish tax firm by the ‘World Tax 2006’ ranking, published annually by ‘Legal Media Group’. The ranking is based on the opinions of professionals with top responsibility in the tax field of major companies and, on the analysis of transactions performed by tax firms in Spain.

Garrigues is the only Spanish firm whose professionals rank as leading individuals in the six areas of practice analyzed by this publication: Ricardo Gómez-Barreda in ‘Capital markets and financial products’ and ‘M&amp;A’; José Palacios in ‘Cross-border structuring’; Eduardo Gardeta in ‘Indirect taxes’; Enrique Fonseca in ‘Tax controversy’ and Angel Calleja and Abelardo Delgado in ‘Transfer pricing’.

Garigues’ tax practice today involves more than 500 professionals out of which 60 are partners. Garrigues is also a founding member of Taxand, the first independent global alliance of independent and specialized tax firms.
