**Garrigues is once again the firm with the highest number of professionals in the [Best Lawyers](https://www.bestlawyers.com/) ranking for Spain. Specifically, it has 257. It is also named best law firm of the year in the Labor law and Tax law practice areas.**





Similarly, Garrigues is the firm with the largest numbers of professionals recognized in the areas of Tax law (74), Corporate/commercial law and Mergers and acquisitions (65), Labor law (33), Arbitration (20), Planning (12) and Environmental law (5).

Its recognized professionals in Europe total 284. In Latin America, the list of lawyers is still under embargo, until the definitive results have been released.

**[Best Lawyers](https://www.bestlawyers.com/)** has also published its Lawyers of the year list, which includes 19 professionals from Garrigues in Spain and Portugal.

The US publication recognizes the work of lawyers based on the opinions of their professional peers, who are invited to vote for the candidates who, in their opinion, merit this international recognition.

**Latin America**

*Best Lawyers* has also published the results of its ranking for Latin America, which features no fewer than 14 Garrigues’ professionals practicing in different areas of business law. Garrigues’ presence in the region takes the form of a network of own offices in Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Brazil. In 2017, the firm continued to consolidate its position in the region, with over 30% growth in revenues in local currency and billings in excess of 23 million euros.
