**Tomás Pessanha and Gonçalo Almeida Garrett prepared the chapter dedicated to Portugal of the annual report on non-financial information (ESG) of Thomson Reuters.**





The lawyers from the Oporto Commercial Law Department Tomás Pessanha and Gonçalo Almeida Garrett contributed to the drafting of the annual report on the progress of legislation on non-financial information (ESG - Environmental, Social and Governance), published in Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence on 19 October.

In this report, they point out the main obligations regarding non-financial reporting to which commercial companies in Portugal are subject to, among other entities, and reflect on the legislative changes necessary to transpose the future Directive on Corporate Sustainability Reporting into the Portuguese legal system, not yet approved.
