Fundación Consejo España-India and Garrigues have today entered into a framework collaboration agreement under which the law firm will provide legal advice to the foundation, as well as to any Spanish investors who look to the institution in order to develop their business projects in India. Firm Chairman Antonio Garrigues and Antonio Escámez, Chairman of Fundación Consejo España-India, put their signatures to the agreement at an event staged at Garrigues’ corporate HQ. Fundación Consejo España-India was created on January 27, 2009, thanks to various public and private entities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its aim is to stimulate bilateral relations and give fresh impetus to cooperation between Spain and India in the fields of science, culture, academia and environmental research and protection, as well as to boost economic, commercial and business development. Garrigues’ relationship with Fundación Consejo España-India began shortly after its creation, when the Firm joined the institution’s Board of Trustees in mid-2009, taking its place alongside other major Spanish companies.
