One year after Garrigues became the Most Innovative Firm in Continental Europe at The Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Awards in 2008, the FT again paid tribute to the innovative work done by our professionals and awarded Garrigues the runner-up spot in the 2009 ranking for ‘Continental European Firms '.

Garrigues' Restructuring and Insolvency Department was "Highly Commended" and "Commended" for the use of innovative legal tools to rescue distressed businesses (in the " Financial Crisis and the downturn 2009 " ranking), and for sharing its insolvency know-how and experience with a broad audience through the use of exclusive IT tools.
