**The text provides details of the requirements that the products must meet to reduce their environmental impact, addressing key issues for manufacturers, importers and consumers.**
The European Commission has prepared a comprehensive frequently asked questions (FAQ) document to provide preliminary clarifications on the new [Regulation (EU) 2024/1781, of the European Parliament and of the Council, of June 13,](https://www.garrigues.com/es_ES/noticia/publicado-reglamento-busca-garantizar-solo-entren-mercado-ue-productos-cumplan-requisitos) which seeks to establish a framework for the setting of ecodesign requirements that products must meet to be placed on the market or put into service, in order to improve their sustainability and reduce their environmental impact during their lifecycle.
The document deals with numerous issues related to the regulation that may prove of interest to manufacturers, importers and consumers, such as its scope, the digital passport, the Ecodesign Forum or the implementation timeline.
