[Taxand](http://www.taxand.com/) is a global tax alliance which is independent from any attest practice and legal network. It is organized as a network of tax firms which team up with any other practices whenever it is relevant and needed by its clients. “We believe we are entering a new paradigm where clients are really looking for specialists and independent firms that bring immediate value, creativity and operational results worldwide” adds Frederic Donnedieu de Vabres.

Current discussions with a significant number of firms in other countries that are interested in joining the alliance are taking place so that the alliance will cover the five continents shortly. The charter signed by 9 tax firms has three specific objectives: (1) managing the global tax alliance and brand, (2) coordinating international client relationships and services, (3) sharing knowledge. “Expertise, flexibility and creativity are key for our international clients. We believe Taxand can move faster and can bring the best in Tax advice worldwide without any conflict of interest or independence issue” says Ricardo Gómez, Partner and National Coordinator of the Garrigues Tax Practice, member of Taxand Global Alliance in Spain.

Why “Taxand”?: “Our alliance brand name Taxand reflects our focus on tax on the one hand and our openness to others and our client needs on the other” concludes Frederic Donnedieu de Vabres.
