This accolade is the result of research carried out by British publication Chambers & Partners for the annual edition of its European Guide. The study is based on personal interviews with clients throughout the year and is aimed at rewarding the work of the best legal team in each country. The Chambers award is the third prestigious international award won by Garrigues in the space of a month. The other two awards, also for law firm of the year, were granted by leading publications Legal Business and International Financial Law Review. Fernando Vives, Executive Chairman of Garrigues, explained the importance of the award. “We are proud to be acknowledged by the European legal profession. The Chambers award is especially important, as the work is recognized directly by clients”. The Executive Chairman of Garrigues, who collected the award, also highlighted the Firm’s international expansion efforts. “During the last year, we have focused our efforts on consolidating Garrigues’ position as an international firm. These awards strengthen our strategy and our aim of providing the best service to our clients, who increasingly demand professional firms with an international approach to business law”. The Garrigues office network, present in twelve countries and with a special focus on Latin America, was one of the aspects most highly valued by interviewees. Clients also noted the Firm’s innovative advice in cross border transactions. In addition to winning Spain Law Firm of the Year, the work of Garrigues’ professionals is acknowledged by the results obtained in the European Guide published every year by Chambers&Partners.
