Claudio Doria Tölle



Claudio Doria is a partner in the Corporate and Commercial Law Department of Garrigues, where he has pursued most of his professional career. He specializes in company law, especially mergers and acquisitions and debt issues. He is the head of the Italian Desk of the firm and coordinates the Business of Fashion Law group.

His expertise in company-related commercial contracts includes the negotiation and preparation of joint venture, shareholders, distribution, agency and franchise agreements. He also has extensive experience in procurement contracts for engineering services and supply of equipment.

He has a wealth of experience in structuring and implementing transnational corporate transactions and negotiating international agreements, coordinating advisory services with lawyers from other jurisdictions. He regularly advises companies on the international expansion of their businesses. His clients operate in, for example, the fashion and luxury industry, electronic goods, foodstuffs and consumer products, gaming and manufacturing of equipment for waste treatment.

Besides providing assistance to various multinationals with a presence in Spain, he frequently advises closely held groups and family businesses and acts as board secretary and legal adviser to a number of them.

Claudio Doria features in several international directories and has been frequently recommended by Best Lawyers as one of the lawyers of choice in Spain in his area of expertise.

He is a member of Barcelona Bar Association, the European Forum’s managing committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Association of Italian-Language Jurists (Associazione Internazionale Giuristi Lingua Italiana - AIGLI).

He regularly speaks at seminars and conferences organized by the firm and by various centers and institutions on, among other topics, articles of association, by-laws and shareholders’ agreements, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, product liability and warranties arising from the sale of consumer goods, directors’ liability and the legal aspects of investments between Spain and Italy.

He is a lecturer on Corporate Law at the Business Law Master’s Degree offered by Barcelona Bar Association and on Global Business Law at the Legal Profession Master’s Degree organized by Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF).
