Álvaro Valle de Alvear
Álvaro is a partner in Garrigues’ Corporate/Commercial Department in Madrid, having joined the Firm in 2000.
Between 2003 and 2004he worked at Hunton & Williams (Miami) as an International Associate.
His legal practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and commercial contracts. He also provides advice on corporate finance and project financing.
He provides advice on cross-border transactions to both international companies and funds on their investments and on setting up businesses in Spain and to Spanish companies on their international expansion.
Álvaro specializes in the energy sector. His legal practice and experience encompass corporate transactions, project development and contracts specific to the electricity, oil and gas markets, providing comprehensive regulatory advice on the legislation applicable to those industries.
Lecturer and speaker on Master’s and postgraduate courses offered by Centro de Estudios Garrigues and the Spanish Energy Club (Enerclub) on energy related-matters and on several courses and seminars organized by Universidad San Pablo-CEU (Madrid).
Recognized by the prestigious Iberian Lawyer magazine as one of the most outstanding young lawyers in Spain and Portugal, in recognition of his professional achievements and social commitment, in the 4th edition of the 40underForty Awards.
