This practice area was set up to advise enterprises in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and cosmetics industries on the application and impact of the legislation specific to each of these activities.

The requirements are various and range from regulatory authorizations to the obligation to observe certain procedures or formalities in order to pursue such business activities, to import and export goods, or to engage in distribution activities in any of the direct or wholesale distribution categories.

We also advise on issues related to reference prices for medicines covered by the Spanish National Health System, or regarding the various prices that make up the medicine distribution chain.

Furthermore, our services include advice on administrative applications for the permits required to pursue the regulated activities referred to above, or to transfer pharmaceutical registrations, whether by sale or purchase or as part of business reorganizations, such as mergers or spin-offs.

Our advice also covers the import, export, installation and sale of medical equipment operated using a range of technologies and which are subject to the regime governing nuclear equipment supervised by the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council
