Omar Andrés Martínez
Omar Andrés Martínez has more than fifteen years of experience in the structuring of infrastructure projects and PPPs as a legal advisor for government entities, private companies and international development banks. He has participated in relevant cross-border transactions with great expertise in several jurisdictions in Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Africa.
Before joining Garrigues, he worked at the Colombian firm Brigard & Urrutia and, previously, in Washington, was part of the prestigious Legal Associates Program of the World Bank, where he provided legal counsel in the Latin American and Caribbean Practice Group (LEGLA) and in the Private Sector Development, Finance and Infrastructure Unit (LEGPS). He was also a consultant at the Legal Department of the Inter-American Development Bank.
Omar Andrés Martínez holds a law degree from Universidad de Los Andes, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Business and Law certificate from the University of Pennsylvania (USA).
