Miguel Angel is a principal associate in the Corporate Law department in our Mexico City office.
He has more than eleven years of experience in financial transactions representing national and foreign clients in their operations in Mexico. He advices regulated and non-regulated entities on a periodic basis in their M&A, financing, regulatory and compliance, corporate governance, product development and new business, and co investments in several industrial and business sectors, especially in insurance, reinsurance, banking and other financial sectors.
Before joining Garrigues, Miguel Angel worked at Nader, Hayaux y Goebel, S.C. and Jauregui, Navarrete y Nader, S.C. He also worked as foreign associate in Paul Hastings, LLP in its New York offices.
He lectures different subjects at the Universidad Anahuac del Norte in JD and Masters courses.
Miguel Angel is a member of the Mexican Insurance and Bonding Law Association and an Associate of King’s College London (2017).
Degree in Law, Universidad Anahuac del Norte (2005), with a Masters in Finance, Universidad Anahuac del Norte, and LLM in International Financial Law, King’s College London, University of London.
He is also a candidate to become Solicitor of England and Wales under the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (MCT exam approved and OSCE exam pending).
