Javier Escudero Espinosa de los Monteros
Javier Escudero is a partner in the Tax Department of Garrigues, where he has pursued his professional career following a period at Arthur Andersen. He specializes in tax matters, especially in the energy (electricity, oil and gas) and construction industries, as well as the taxation of not-for-profit entities (foundations and associations).
He heads the recurring tax advisory teams for major Spanish companies in the energy and construction industries. He has played an active role in significant restructuring operations at the groups he advises, such as the merger of construction companies or the reorganization of a major Spanish energy group. Moreover, he has taken part in the foreign investments of such groups, analyzing the international investment structure and coordinating the advice provided by professionals from the country in which the investment was made.
