Isabel Pascual de Quinto is a principal associate in the Intellectual Property department. She has extensive experience  in providing advice on patents; industrial designs; trademarks; biotechnology; copyright; functional foods; unfair competition and advertising.

She specializes in patents and industrial designs, especially in industries relating to civil engineering and life sciences, and also provides advisory services in drafting agreements for the assignment and licensing of industrial property rights and also confidentiality, transfer of technology and know-how agreements.

She has over fifteen years’ experience in advising businesses in relation to counterfeiting and piracy and also on the adoption of customs measures in defense of intellectual property rights.

She also provides ongoing advisory services in the above-mentioned areas, both pre-litigation (drafting cease and desist letters and conflict-resolution agreements), as well as in court (proceedings in connection with the infringement or validity of intellectual property rights before the civil, commercial and criminal courts), also participating in IP arbitration proceedings.

She lectures on the AENOR Master’s Degree on Innovation Management and on the Master´s Degree in Business Law at Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

She is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences, including at the conference " R&D&I and industrial property as the driving force of business competition ", in which she discussed "Protecting innovation: Patents and Know-how".

Her participation in the conference organized by the Madrid Bar Association, in which she gave a paper on "Designs. A growing trend. Relevant cases " should also be underscored

Isabel Pascual de Quinto has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2000.

She has recently been appointed as one of the new generation trademark lawyers in Legal500.

Academic background:

Degree in Law. Universidad de Zaragoza. 


Collaborates regularly in reviewing intellectual property codes published by the public body that manages the Official State Gazette.

Author of numerous articles and publications, notably:

-          Official Pharmaceutical Association of Asturias, giving a paper on Counterfeit Medicines: A Recent Risk.*
