Fernando Rubiano Fernández
Fernando Rubiano Fernández is a senior associate in Garrigues’ Intellectual Property Department, where he provides comprehensive advice to domestic and foreign clients as a specialist in intellectual property matters.
He has over 15 years of experience advising clients on matters relating to the preliminary evaluation, processing and registration of distinctive signs (Spanish, EU and international trademarks as well as domestic trademarks abroad). He handles the defense of intellectual property rights and proceedings before the Spanish Patents and Trademarks Office, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market, and the World Intellectual Property Organization, all with a view to advising the Firm’s clients on the implementation and development of suitable and effective strategies to protect their intellectual property worldwide. His work with collaborating firms abroad has enabled him to establish professional relationships of trust with intellectual property specialists around the world, including most notably in the US, Australia, Japan and Latin America.
Fernando Rubiano Fernández is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
He is a guest lecturer in the courses and master’s programs of the Madrid School of Marketing.
