Joined the firm as partner in Garrigues’ Barcelona Litigation and Arbitration Practice (2012).

A senior judge specializing in commercial law matters, assigned to Barcelona Commercial Court no. 1 (since December 2005), with jurisdiction throughout the entire autonomous community of Cataluña in the area of Industrial Property, forming part of the Barcelona Court of First Instance hearing patent cases. In this capacity I have also heard proceedings involving insolvency, patents, trademarks, industrial designs, intellectual property, unfair competition, corporate law, standard contract terms and transportation matters.

Presiding Judge at Court no. 1 at Barcelona airport (1998-2005), with jurisdiction over El Prat de Llobregat airport, acting in an examining capacity in numerous proceedings involving drug trafficking and resolving civil claims in different areas, including the termination of car dealership contracts, since two major car manufacturers have their registered office at the airport.

During this time, he has also formed part of a national group of judges with expertise on international legal cooperation, attending and teaching on national and international courses and seminars

He was also assistant to the Chief Judge of Barcelona for the commercial law jurisdiction and a member of the Commercial Law Steering Committee of the General Council of the Spanish Judiciary, giving me an in-depth insight into the institutional and governance-related aspects of jurisdictional operations and the functioning of the courts and tribunals.

Project of the Spanish Agency for International Aid in collaboration with the General Council of the Spanish Judiciary in Sarajevo (duration: four months) (2003). Consultant on the drafting of the Rules for the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina and collaborating on the Rules for the Public Prosecution Service of that country.

He has taught on numerous courses, lectures and presentations at various institutions, particularly on insolvency law, litigation, and corporate law. Enrique Grande is a member of the teaching staff on postgraduate courses in insolvency law at Universidad San Pablo-Ceu Abat Oliva y Pompeu y Fabra, where I teach classes on issues relating to the assessment of formal insolvencies.
