Cecilia Martinez Bárcena is a senior associate in the Litigation and Arbitration practices in Valladolid and Burgos.
She joined the firm in 2006 and has experience in civil, commercial, corporate and criminal judicial and arbitration proceedings. Specifically, she has expertise in all types of civil and commercial litigation, and in negotiation processes, insolvency proceedings, breach of contract, arbitration, family and inheritance law, real estate law, default management, challenges to corporate resolutions, and corporate crime, among others.
Cecilia provides recurring civil and commercial advice, giving seminars at business association forums in Castilla y Leon, notably including the Burgos Federation of Business Associations (FAE) and its partner organizations, the Soria Federation of Business Organizations (FOES) and its partner organizations, the Burgos Traders Federation (FEC) and the Chambers of Property and Commerce of Burgos, Valladolid and Salamanca.
She has been an associate professor at Universidad de Burgos since 2012, teaching civil and criminal law on the Master’s Degree in Corporate and Business Law.
Cecilia has also lectured on the Master’s Degree in Legal and Tax Counseling for Businesses (2013-2014, 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 academic years) in collaboration with the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
She is a speaker at the Aranzadi Burgos Insolvency Law Forum of Thomson Reuters Formación, giving a monthly breakdown of legislative developments in insolvency matters.
