Carlos Silva is a senior associate in the labor and employment practice. He specializes in labor issues and is an expert implementing collective agreements.
Has extensive expertise in conducting Due Diligence in labor and pension issues, review of settlement of social benefits, representation of companies in labor and pension processes, conducting agreements before The Labor Ministry. Has a wealth of experience in development of visa aplications for foreigners in Colombia and request for permits with the variousProfesionals’s councils.
He also provides recurring advice in the correct execution of payments to social security, and labor contributions fiscal payments and conduct procedures before the UGPP.
He lectures as assistant professor in Political, Economic and Social affairs in MBA’s degree course at Universidad de Los Andes.
Lawyer of the Externado University, with two post graduates degrees one in Labor Law-Social Security and other in Business Law botht in Rosario University, MBA from Los Andes University.
Several papers published in last years at the legal section of La Republica newspaper such as: “The new requirements for visas granted by Colombian Government”*, “Mechanism for “cesante’s” protection: MCP”* and “The trainee have the right to labor stability”*. Among others.
