Bernardo Pérez-Navas is a member of Madrid Bar Association and an expert in labor and employment law.
He specializes in providing advice on employment and social security matters to national and multinational companies of different industries (IT, Finance, Consultancy Services, among others) and has extensive experience in providing labor advisory services in relation to national and international corporate transactions (mergers, spinoffs and contributions of lines of business, due diligence reviews, outsourcing and externalization of services, etc.). He has participated in numerous individual and collective processes, employment restructurings and collective layoffs.
He also has valuable experience in other employment law areas, such as forensic work and defending clients in court proceedings, providing employment and social security advice in relation to complex compensation systems (share-based incentives, variable compensation and flexible remuneration systems) and the recruitment of executive and senior management staff.
In particular, his work also focusses on providing employment and social security advice on expatriate issues and on the international travel and movement of workers. In this connection, he was a founding member of Círculo Internacional Técnico Expat (CITE), in charge of the employment law area. This organization was subsequently merged into Foro Español de Expatriación (FEEX), in which he continues to be involved.
He also participates in activities linked to the provision of advice on investments in Spain. Every year he contributes to drafting the Guide to Doing Business in Spain produced by Invest in Spain and has been involved in organizing working and drafting sessions for the Analysis of the Business Climate in Spain, also published by Invest in Spain.
Bernardo Pérez-Navas speaks at seminars and courses offered by Centro de Estudios Garrigues. He also lectures on the Employment Relations Executive Master’s Degree and the Employment Counseling Master’s Degree offered by Centro de Estudios de Garrigues, as well as on the Advanced Expatriate Management Program organized by Instituto de Empresa.
Moreover, he is a regular speaker at other specialist business forums (APD, Recoletos, Fundación para la investigación y el derecho y la empresa- FIDE- and INMARK).
