Arantxa Tobaruela Carrera is a counsel in the Family Business practice.
She has extensive experience in corporate and civil law matters and consulting relating to successions at family businesses and nonprofit entities.
Added to her 20 years of experience as a corporate law specialist is her specialization in civil and inheritance law for the past 13 years and her training in consulting relating to family business and personal development.
In addition, she provides recurring advice to entrepreneurs and top executives on their estate planning in the event of death or disability, as well as on prenuptial agreements.
She has been an associate lecturer in the MBA of the ESADE (civil and commercial law matters) and of the UB, and she is currently an associate lecturer in the Financial Planning Program (Instituto de Estudios Financieros) on inheritance law. She is a regular speaker and lecturer on inheritance matters at the Barcelona Bar Association, the Cataluña Economists Association and the Cataluña Notaries Association.
Arantxa Tobaruela is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and is also one of the founding members of the Catalan Inheritance Law Specialists Association (ACEDS).
Degree in Law from Universidad de Barcelona (UB) and postgraduate specialization in Catalan Inheritance Law.
Author of numerous articles and publication in the national and local press, including most notably the articles published in recent years in the review Economist and Jurist such as “Disability: Legal Instruments to Provide for Asset and Personal Management” (*) and several articles in La Vanguardia including “The Importance of Succession Planning in Family Businesses” and “Nonprofit Entities and the Responsibility of the Board of Trustees” (*).
