Spain: Approval of the reform on structural modifications to commercial companies

The reform in Spain, which repeals Law 3/2009 and makes numerous new additions to the provisions on structural modifications, will come into force on July 29, 2023.

Royal Decree-Law 5/2023 transposes, among others, the EU Directive on work-life balance for parents and carers which, before the end of the legislative session, was passing through parliament as the Families Bill.
