The Garrigues Chair
Garrigues is unwavering in its commitment to supporting and promoting legal research and forging ties with the world of academia. These two activities constitute a means with which to transfer the know-how, methods and experience gained from professional practice into the world of work and education.
Specific legal research into the globalization of law takes the shape of the Garrigues Chair in Global Law, set up in tandem with Universidad de Navarra in a bid to promote, from a multidisciplinary standpoint, teaching and research in various areas of the law and, in particular, all matters concerning the phenomenon known as “legal globalization”.
November 2011 saw Garrigues enter into an agreement with Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICAI-ICADE) to create the Garrigues Chair for the Modernization of Corporate Law, with the aim of researching and reflecting on the changes taking place in this area of legal expertise.
Towards the end of the same year, in conjunction with Universidad de Zaragoza, the Firm created the Garrigues Chair in Law and Business Studies, which looks to integrate the world of law within companies’ financial activities, as a key to guaranteeing the successful development and growth of Spain’s business community.
