The Justice Minister presents the 2018 Young Lawyers Award to Juan Antonio Mancilla

The Justice Minister, Dolores Delgado, presented Juan Antonio Mancilla Álvarez with the 2018 Young Lawyers Award, organized by Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Thomson Reuters and Fundación Garrigues. Marta Ramos Gómez and Sandra Vila Holgado came in second and third respectively.

Mancilla will receive a prize of €6,000 euros and a full grant to study for a Master’s Degree in Legal Practice at Centro de Estudios Garrigues. Ramos and Vila will receive a full grant and 75% of the amount respectively. The other finalists received 9 grants, each covering 50% of the cost of the Master’s Degree in Legal Practice at Centro de Estudios Garrigues. All the winners will receive a diploma for participating.

The finalists, who will also receive a diploma, were Javier de Diego de Mingo, Ignacio Felipe Rode, José Luis Fuentes Alcaide, Ander Gutiérrez Gárate, Jaume Hernández Hernández, Ana Jiménez-Tuset Bernat, Paola Hidalgo Herrero, Paula Ortega Elena and José Ignacio Soto Trujillo.

The judges were José Maria Alonso Puig, Dean of the Madrid Bar Association (President), Jorge Jaime de Fuentes Corripio, Alberto de Martín Muñoz, Jacobo Barja de Quiroga López, Eduardo María Valpuesta Gastaminza and José Ramón Martinez Jiménez (who acted as secretary).
