Garrigues wins ‘Law Firm of the Year in Spain’ in the 2011 IFLR Awards
Garrigues has won the European award for ‘Law Firm of the Year: Spain’ for the second year running, handed out by International Financial Law Review (IFRL). The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday evening at a gala dinner staged at London’s Dorchester Hotel, attended by a host of European firms.
The panel of judges took into account the services as a whole provided by professionals from Garrigues over the course of the last year, particularly advice on groundbreaking international deals taking place in various jurisdictions.
The accolade provides recognition of another exceptionally strong year for the firm, during which it has advised on a number of high-profile deals which given the current state of the economy, is no small feat. “Part of our strategy is to focus on clients as much as on transactional activity, we try to make sure that the quality of our services exceed all expectations and contributes to the creation of value for clients. On years like this, we believe that we are on the right track”, says Fernado Vives, Co-Managing Partner at Garrigues.
This is not the first time that this prestigious publication has recognized Garrigues’ work as law firm of the year in Spain, having done so on three previous occasions, in 2004, 2006 and 2010.
