Garrigues partner José Palacios among the fifty best tax professionals in the world
(28/11/2005) Garrigues partner José Palacios was selected for the second year running as one of the fifty most influential tax professionals in the world according to Tax Business international publication. He is the only Spanish professional on this list. The report places José Palacios 42 on the table, together with other international tax professionals belonging to various business and institutional sectors.
Tax Business pinpoints José Palacios’ leadership and professionalism in the area of tax services, and his work as ambassador for the ‘Garrigues’ brand. José Palacios joined Garrigues in 1983 and since then he has specialized in international taxation. He has extensive experience in cross-border transactions and EU tax law.
The publication also highlights Garrigues’ strong positioning in the area of tax services, currently considered as the leading firm in Spain. Tax Business also mentions the recent creation of Taxand, the first independent alliance exclusively for tax services, in which Garrigues is a founder member, consisting of 19 tax firms based several other countries and more than 1,000 professionals, of which 175 are partners.
