Garrigues to open offices in Casablanca
(05/08/05) Garrigues will have its own office in Casablanca (Morocco) before the end of the year. The office is expected to become fully operational during the final third of 2005 and will be headed by lawyer and Garrigues Partner José Ignacio García. An expert in international taxation, José Ignacio García joined Garrigues in 1990 and has practiced exclusively in the Firm’s Tax Department since then.
With the opening of the Casablanca office, Garrigues aims to serve the numerous Spanish businesses currently operating in the Moroccan market.
Garrigues continues to press ahead with its international expansion process which began this year and has positioned it in the Latin American market (through Affinitas, the Latin American Alliance of Lawyers promoted by Garrigues) and in countries such as Portugal (with Garrigues, Leónidas and Matos). In recent months, the Firm has also announced the forthcoming opening of a Garrigues office in Shanghai, giving it a foothold in the powerful Chinese market.
