Garrigues, client service leader
Garrigues has picked up the Client Choice Award 2014 as Firm of the Year in Spain, the fourth time it has received this award. The accolade is handed out every year by the International Law Office review for excellence in client service.
It is precisely clients who select the lawyers and law firms that stand apart each year by the quality of legal advice offered, in-depth business know-how, ongoing and fluid communication with clients, transparency and professional experience of the team, among other aspects assessed.
As Garrigues’ Managing Partner Fernando Vives highlighted, “This recognition by our clients, for the fourth time, testifies to the fact that excellence in client service has always been and always will be the cornerstone of our professional services.”
In addition to the award received by the Firm, two Garrigues lawyers were singled out for their individual work in their respective practice areas: Rosa Zarza, Partner in charge of the Labor and Employment Department, in the Labor/Employment category for Spain, and Tax partner Javier de Miguel, in the Corporate Tax category for Spain.
The selection of the winning firms and professionals was based on reports and face-to-face interviews with clients. With respect to Garrigues, clients said:

International Law Office has been awarding these accolades since 2005 in more than 50 countries the world over. Garrigues has previously received the Client Choice Award in 2007, 2010 and 2013. This prestigious international publication owes its reputation in the legal industry to its close collaboration with corporate counsel, the only individuals able to nominate law firms and their professionals for the award. ILO also publishes the main deals and new developments in the industry in collaboration with more than 500 legal experts in over 100 jurisdictions.
