Garrigues and Expansión present book on the European Constitution

On Sunday February 20, a referendum on the European Constitution will be held in Spain. In order to promote the dissemination of this fundamental text among the Spanish population, Garrigues has this week presented a book containing 21 explanatory articles written by the Firms’ professionals and published during the last month in the financial newspaper Expansión. The book, published by legal publishing house La Ley and Telefónica, has more than 300 pages containing all 21 articles and the full text of the European Constitution.
The book was launched at an event organized by the General Council of the Spanish Legal Profession (CGAE) to promote voting among citizens. The event was attended by the Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, the Minister for Justice, Juan Fernando López de Aguilar, the President of the CGAE, Carlos Carnicer, and the Senior Member of the Madrid Bar Association, Luis Martí Mingarro, among others.
Garrigues President Antonio Garrigues and managing partners José María Alonso and Miguel Gordillo attended on behalf of the firm, together with other professionals, including some of the authors of the articles on the Constitution.
