Professional Experience

Marcos Araujo is the head of the EU and Competition Law Department of Garrigues. His professional career has focused on competition law, particularly infringement and merger control proceedings before EU and Spanish administrative authorities.

For more than twenty years, Marcos has worked with companies from a wide range of industrial and service sectors, and particularly in the energy, automotive, transport and pharmaceutical distribution industries. His reputation in the competition law market has been recognized by the most important legal directories, including Chambers & Partners (Band 1), Legal 500 and Legal Experts.

Marcos has extensive teaching experience and is a speaker at various forums.

Academic Background

Law Degree, Universidad de Alicante (1981-1986).
