Carlos Salinas is a Partner in Garrigues’ Corporate/Commercial Law Department at the Barcelona office. He specializes in financial law, above all structured finance deals and corporate debt refinancing or restructuring, playing an active role in the analysis from a legal standpoint and design of the final structure, in close collaboration with the financial advisers participating in such transactions. Moreover he has a wealth of experience in corporate finance transactions, as well as asset acquisitions, including the acquisition of aircraft.
In the energy and environment practice area, he has had the opportunity to act as a project legal adviser on a host of project finance deals, contributing to deals to finance wind farms, waste treatment plants, photovoltaic facilities, mini-hydroelectric plants and biomass plants. In this area, he has delivered papers at various seminars dealing with the legal aspects of renewable energy project finance.
Elsewhere, he is also experienced in the area of corporate mergers and acquisitions, acting on behalf of both private equity firms and industrial partners.
In 2013, Carlos Salinas was singled out by the US publication Best Lawyers in the business law practice area.
