Garrigues was awarded ‘Spain Tax Firm of the Year’ and ‘Spain Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year’ at the European Tax Awards ceremony held last night in London. These prestigious accolades are bestowed annually by International Tax Review (ITR) in recognition of excellence in tax matters by European firms. This year the Firm also shared a third award for its participation in the sale of ONO to Vodafone, named European Telecommunications and Technology Tax Deal of the Year. Since these awards were created in 2005, Garrigues has been named tax firm of the year on eight occasions and transfer pricing firm of the year on another three.
Garrigues was named ‘Spain Law Firm of the Year’ at the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence award ceremony held in Amsterdam. This accolade is the result of research carried out by British publication Chambers & Partners for the annual edition of its European Guide. The study is based on personal interviews with clients throughout the year and is aimed at rewarding the work of the best legal team in each country. The Chambers award is the third prestigious international award won by Garrigues in the space of a month. The other two awards, also for law firm of the year, were granted by leading publications Legal Business and International Financial Law Review.
